San Diegans are lucky to have a number of really fantastic sports card shops within the broader San Diego County district. Better known in the card collecting hobby as “Local Card Shops” (aka LCS), these stand-alone sports card stores are owned and operated by fellow collectors and typically offer the widest variety of sports cards (including baseball cards, basketball cards, football cards and hockey cards) along with non-sports and TGC cards like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Marvel. Best yet, quite frequently now, they serve as a community hub for collectors — a place for sports card collectors to gather, talk shop, trade cards, and participate in breaks.
